upload speeds slowed April 2014

Anyone experience recent slow upload speeds?

My upload speeds have suddenly come to a craw or stoppedl.  Using pogo plug drive or drag and drop using the browser.  Something like 50Kb upload speed.

I have tested with google drive and skydrive and I am seeing 2Mb upload speeds...

Myself for a few days my upload speed is restricted to 25 KB. I have tested in different location.

Pogoplug Team can solve this problem ?

Nope, I am getting around 1.4MB/s upload and DL over 3-4MB/s

Reboot the PP --  by removing drives as recommended, unplug the PP and wait about 15 secs then plug back in.  Check the PP drives with the PC (run a scan for any errors)  Once OK, reattach drives w/PP on and hopefully all will be fine.

oh, sorry, I don't have a PP device, I just use the web / cloud access (still 5.20 ver of software to keep my P: drive)

No matter, I uploaded a file from my PC to my cloud, just as you would do through the internet.  A device doesn't have anything to do with this -- sorry.

I have the same problem since a few days, the upload does not exceed 25 KB, I watched with a network monitor and it looks like it is stuck at 25 KB, it never exceeds, and several different places with different connections.

I have the same problem. Getting upload speeds of 60KB/s now, used to have around 2MB/s. The upload is 4MB/s avarage. I have no issues with upload speed of other services.

I have a glassfiber 100mbps up and down connection.

I've experienced the same problem. SInce Wednesday 23rd of April, my upload speed has decreased by 10-fold! Normally app 700kb/s, now app 70 kb/s.

I tried restarting/rebooting everything, testing my internet speed, checking my firewall etc, but no difference in upload speed.

Seems there is a problem with pogoplug and I can't find out what it is.

Pogoplug team care to respond?

If there is some kind of problem at pogoplug, they should post it somewhere. These kind of problems cause people to loose trust in the service.

6.7 TB - also promoted to second tier ...

(upload from different computers and servers doesn't make any difference)

I am exactly the same. Cannot get an upload speed of anything more than 25kbps which renders it virtually unusable. Not a problem with my internet connection. Am in the UK on fastest BT Infinity. Looks like we are being deliberately throttled. Have escalated a call to tier 2 support, much like you guys no response.

Hmmm, since I don't have an issue like this in the US, am wondering if this is a localized problem for...Europe, or another region?  And, since I am a light uploader, could it be a problem for only the "heavy" uploaders?  Just wonder if there is some sort of relationship going on with this problem.  Anyone have any thoughts regarding this?

I am a user in Europe. Uploaded 11TB. If the bandwidth problem is caused by upload (or some other) behaviour I expect pogoplug to send out a email before they will act.

I am currently copying data back to local, I am afraid the service will go bankrupt and this is somehow the first signs of it.

I am in Florida.

I have noticed that the upload speed seems to stall, then shoot up to around 100Kb for two seconds, then stalls again. Mostly stalled...

Yes, I have about 6tb as well

Up until a few weeks ago uploads zipped along.

Now deadly slow.

I truly hope they are not throttling our accounts.

Yes, I have some info.  The other day I wrote to someone in PP support whom I have corresponded with a few times, sent them the link to this thread and asked for any comments.  This is what I was told:

_"Yes, this was actually brought to our attention earlier by one of our agents. _

I’ve already engaged our engineers over this to find out what’s going on.

Please note that most of these users has open support applications, so we might update them directly.

We appreciate your concern."

Ian >>>   My comment are just getting deleted, they don't want you to know that they are indeed throttling.

Hmm, well I receive them as emails after you post the comments, but it does appear they are gone from this thread now  ---- very strange.

I am beginning to think the slowness is related to the latest backup program, which I have not yet installed -- I am using v5.2.7.  What version are you folks with the issue using?

OK, you also are not using current backup software, so that eliminates my theory that it is related to current version.  Thanks.

I was able to record a video that shows the obvious speed throttling. I even submitted a ticket a few days ago, and haven't heard back except for the "Have escalated a call to tier 2 support"

That's why I decided I wanted to share the video online here, so you guys can see as well, that might make them try harder to get us answers. But like Mike's comments have been deleted multiple times, I'm very certain they will be deleting my comment very soon as well. Anyways here is the video.

It was not my comments that are missing, it is Ian's.  Mine are still here, and your link to your video is here, too.
